Actually, before I broke my fast, i have the thoughts that i am worshipping my desires and wife if i broke my fast and have intercourse with her yet i still went ahead and do it. If i repented but did not even try to fast back 14 months of 7 days that i purposely skipped and die this way. Will my sins be forgiven? If not, is it shirk or sins of breaking fast?

one of my uncle who is staying as a join family with his brothers, is fasting in day of eid of local region and not participating in the feast of other brothers, saying that he is following universal moonsighting and it doesn’t harm him. ,i am 7months pregnant,i just foundout i have gestational diabetes (temp. during pregnancy), but some of woman they cant get-rid of it after delivery others do, my doctor advised me not to skip a meal and to put my eyes on that for long term. Here we fast 19hrs fasting,5hrs breaking, if i break my fast i cant pay it back b/c not to trigger, so can i pay it by feeding poor?

You can skip fasting due to your pregnancy. However, you should wait till winter when the day is really short and check your sugar level! If it is ok to fast, you must make it up. But if the doctors then told you that you can never fast, only then you can feed!

There is a fatwa which says in Northern Europe when the fasts are extremely long you can base your fasting on Mecca so your fast will never be longer than 12 – 16 hours. It is attributed to Mohammad Abduh and Tantawi and Ali Gomaa. I feel that this opinin is wrong ? Does it hold any weight at all ?
