There is a business investment we do here in Nigeria, you give the company money and they will be giving you a fixed amount monthly or yearly depending on what you choose. I asked them about what if there is a loss and they said they have taken it upon themselves to pay you , regardless. What is the ruling on this please.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to invest in such a business where they give a fixed amount, this is clear riba.

Regarding the make up fast on Monday n Thursday as our(محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم) made it so I made fast on Monday (الحمدالله) n going to make on Thursday too inshaa Allah so my Q is on Thursday I have an oppintment with the dentist n will fix or remove my teeth iam not sure so could I made my fast that day or not what sharia law tell us need ur kind help what to do? جزاك الله خير الجزاء

ANSWER: Your fast is valid as long as you do not swallow any medication that they put in your mouth. It’s best to go after iftar.

I heard an imam saying yesterday that it’s incorrect to compare insurance with gambling because the purpose of gambling is to make money whilst insurance is only to protect against loss. Otherwise an ordinary Muslim might be the victim of theft and lose his business and suffer hugely. How can this be refuted as I think most likely this imam convinced many.
