‪When we go out for business dinners with non Muslims, they usually drink, for sure we don’t pay for that, but if they eat food, like for example, we’re in a fine dining restaurant which doesn’t serve halal, I eat fish or vegetarian food. ‬ ‪But the other person eats chicken or meat which isn’t halal or at least we aren’t sure if it’s halal. ANSWER: It is not permissible at all to sit at the same table where alcohol or haram food is being served, let alone pay for it!

ANSWER: No problem in working for a call center if the company that you’re working for does halal business. And all your calls are recorded so no question of you getting astray even if they beautified their voice. You must talk in a professional tone.

I think presented my question wrongly. I am very aware of Surah 24:30.But I am confused that you said one can only look at a girl at the initial meeting. I thought if one is quite sure that the marriage will go through, one can look at the girl to make him go ahead based on the hadith of Jabir ibn Abdillah and others.Did is misunderstand the ahadith or what is the evidence that I am wrong?

ANSWER: A doctor is permitted to look at awrah only for a legitimate reason and at a specific place. Likewise, a man who wants to marry a woman, he proposes and he looks at her in the interview. Further looking is transgression and must not be done.

We are all saddened what ahappend in new zealand, but I really wonder is it permissbale for us to say they are all martyrs? Becuase I’ve learnt from you we can’t give that ruling, only Allah can say who goes jannah and not. So should we say “may Allah accept them as martyrs” instead of saying “they are martyred”? Jazak’Allah khair

ANSWER: We don’t call a specific individual that he is a martyr but we say in general that we hope they are martyrs.

Recently our brothers got targeted in NewZealand in which a shooter recorded himself entering the mosque and firing at Muslims. The video has been circling around the social media. Is it ok for Muslims to spread such graphic videos which portrays Muslims being killed.
