Someone told me that looking at your own awrah (nakedness) OR at the awrah of a woman invalidates your wudu, but he wasn’t sure if it invalidates ghusl. Is any of this true? Does it matter if the awrah is the face or head, or if the person is completely naked (like a wife or husband or a small child who is naked)?

ANSWER: What he has said is not correct. Looking at the awrah of anyone would not invalidate wudu or ghusl.

Is it permissible to respond to the opposite gender on an islamic topic or any permissible topic, on public platforms like youtube, twitter, instagram, facebook?

ANSWER: This is not appropriate as this would open doors for Satan to make them fall into sins by communicating in private etc. If this was done publicly, seriously without any flirting and for the benefit of people, this is permissible in Sha Allah.

My son is 10 and has recently changed with his attitude towards me and his attitude to memorizing the Qur’an. He frequently gets upset and cries if I don’t give him what he wants.
