QUESTION: I have a savings account. Bank cuts some tax+bank charge & adds some interest. Monthly I subtract tax+bank charge from Interest amount (basically the extra money in my account that I didn’t put). I give it away to needy monthly, tell him that it is not sadqah but interest money. Is it OKAY as per Shariah? Or should I give the full interest money & I pay tax+bank charges from my saving?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to pay the tax + bank charges from your interest money! You should not tell the people you’re giving that it’s interest money, charity or zakat! Simply give without telling anything!

QUESTION: We’re 21 and engaged for 3 years. We want to do Nikah now and Rukhsati later to avoid haram, as he doesn’t yet have a job. But our families refuse, fearing villagers will assume something wrong happened and mock us. How can we make our family understand?

ANSWER: You must talk to your mother or sisters and try to convince them for nikah but if your father doesn’t agree then you should wait. Meanwhile, its totally prohibited for you to be in contact with your fiance as you both are still non mahram to each other.

QUESTION: If i commit a sin which i keep falling into and i feel as though i cannot refrain from it if i do not have any punishment, Though the sin itself does not have a wordly punishment attached to it (to my knowledge and research) like zina or drinking alcohol etc. Am i allowed to punish myself physically so that i have consequences for committing this sin? Or would that in itself be a sin?

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited! Sincerely repent to Allah while showing deep remorse and have the best hope in Allah.

QUESTION: I would also like to know if, in a kafir country, it is permissible to offer a job to a needy muslim or non muslim woman where she may have to meet with people?

QUESTION: She’s 38. Still no suitor comes bt with demand of dowry from her dad. As it’s a norm in the subcontinent, hardly any suitor would reject such dowry. QUESTION: Am i sinful if i leave congregation at masjid, to pray with my wife? Masjid is close to my house.

QUESTION: I know that it is impermissible to pray nafl between asr and maghrib, but if i make wudu and pray 2 raka of the wudu sunnah because I feel Satan is whispering bad thoughts, is this also impermissible since I’m not sure if you can pray the sunnah wudu any time

ANSWER: No problem in praying this during forbidden times as it has a legitimate reason to it.

QUESTION: I wanted to ask if it is islamically permissible to get married to a man that does not believe or follow shirk or dargah practices, but his parents do. His parents do not influence their practices on their son and assures that they will not impose their beliefs on their wife or future kids.

ANSWER: No problem in marrying him if he is a practicing Muslim with correct aqeedah and he won’t live with his parents in a joint family system

QUESTION: Her bipolar disorder has a chance of affecting decision making, I believe this illness limits her from practicing Islam properly but I also think her upbringing is a factor too for not practicing. Permissible to marry?

ANSWER: Why would you want to marry such a person who doesn’t practice and has known conditions! You would want to choose a practicing wife who would be an ideal mother for your children!
