I live in Jeddah. I recently performed umrah in Makkah and instead of having a haircut in Makkah, I returned to Jeddah and went to a barber shop in ihraam and had a complete haircut. Is there any kaffarah for doing the haircut outside makkah? I wasn’t aware that the hair cut is mandatory within Makkah boundaries.

It is not permissible to perform Umrah on behalf of the living unless they are not capable. Therefore, if somebody’s illness is permanent , you can perform Umrah on his or her behalf though it is not recommended.
