I had watched a movie ‘The Vow’ recently.Inspired by a true story,itz abt a woman who goes into coma bcuz of an accident.She recovers but has no memory of her marriage & her husband tries to win her back. What shud a Muslim do wen faced with such a critical situation as the girl won’t remember the marriage and in Islam, marriage is a serious issue.

It is prohibited for you to watch such a movie. If she doesn’t recall a the and refuses totally to be with this man, the judge separates them. He may give her some time to reconsider but must not be forced to be with him against her will!

My father and I use clothing for prayers that covers our awrah and is loose, however at times, it shows the silhouette and shape of what is underneath (such as our arms and legs) when it is exposed to light. It does not show the color of our skin though. Is it permissible to pray in these clothes? They are common prayer clothes which are used by many Muslims around the world.

As long as it’s loose and it’s not see through you can use it in sha Allah.

Does giving food for the purpose of iftar and sahri to the fuqara wal masaakin come under the heading of zakaah? There are some people who do not expose themselves as fuqara or masaakin but they are needy and they do not ask for anything and when they are given anything like cloths, foods etc. they accept.

No, this doesn’t count as zakaat, it counts as sadaqa. If they are poor or needy, give them zakat in cash.

I know that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was illiterate. During the conquest of Islam when the Prophet would send letters to the rulers of certain regions, did he write those letters himself or did someone write them for him? For example, when the Prophet sent a letter to the ruler of Bahrain at the time, did he write that letter? Also, did he write the Seal of the Prophet?
