If you broke your fast thinking it was time (but were not certain) and you did not find out afterwards that you were wrong, do you have to make up for that day? Apparently, many scholars have said that it is not necessary, due to the fact that you did not know whether you broke your fast too early or not (you’re having doubts with no certainty), but I am wondering if that is the correct opinion.

If a person broke his fast without being certain that the sun had set, he has to make up his fasts!

Just want to find out that someone just posted that her mom writes ya hafeezu. On a paper ,keeps it with her valuables so allah protects her stuff. Another man who had a near death experience said he is alive coz he had read ya hafeezu 11 times before touching the electric cables. I asked for an authentic reference she said its allahs name and there’s nothing wrong in reciting allahs name

Innovations

This is an innovation and should be avoided. Writing the name of Allah is not something that was done by our Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam or his companions! Repeating The names of Allah a specific number of times is also an innovation.

If as a dentist you have a female nurse due to necessity, is it khulwa if you stay in the same room alone but leave door open and others are in the building?

I read that there is the excuse of ignorance for some people like ignorant Muslims who LIVE IN THE WEST WHERE ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE IS LITTLE OR NON EXISTENT EVEN IF THEY COMMIT MAJOR SHIRK. when does the excuse of ignorance come into effect and when is it invalid as an excuse for an individual? also can you recommend books in English on the topic.

This is an issue of dispute among scholars and I follow the option of Sheikh Ibn Othaimeen as Allah wouldn’t punish a nation or an individual until the information has reached him and he has no excuse! He would be tested on the Day of Judgment.

Sheikh my wife is a Dr and is stressed about her exams and doesn’t physical get involved with me for months and it is frustrating for me.. I tried to fast but no help and to marry again I can’t as it is not at all accepted in our culture…So what should I do?? Can I masturbate so I will be away from sins as it becomes v v hard at times

I am 34yrs old and i married a 17yr old 2nd wife 3wks ago.She is the complete opposite of what she pretended to be before marriage.the marriage has not been consummated yet and she still lives with her parents but she is very disobedient and goes out without my permission all the time and she tells lies about her whereabouts.she also doesnt dress modest despite telling her.can i end the marriage.
