Sheikh, there is a hadith that says a particular dhikr is equal to approx 6 hours of dhikr that our prophet (saw) taught to his wife. It goes like ” subhaan Allahi……wa midada kalimatihi.” Is it authentic and how many times do have to say it?

ANSWER: This is authentic and it’s part of the Morning adkhar. You should recite it 3 times. You will find all these adhkar in a booklet called ‘Hisnul Muslim’, in English its called ‘Fortress of the Muslim’ Authentic Supplications For Morning And Evening

I have an abusive father who is destroying my life since childhood. I’m not an emotional person. Now he is throwing me away out of his life. If he dies is it obligatory on his only son(me) to arrange everything(e.g.. his funeral)? I know Allah loves kindness but I can’t do it with this man. Please pardon me & just let me know is it ok if I manage anyone else to arrange everything like funeral etc?

Is it mandatory to say ‘auzubillamishatan..rajeem-Bismillah..raheem’ in the beginning of every rakah OR Is it that i should only say bimillahi..rahem and carry on in the rakahs.i believe that we say ‘auzubillhi-minasita-rajem’ only once, in The beginning of the salah and if i get any distractions.what is correct please guide me.

ANSWER: Seeking refuge in Allah (aauzubillah hi…) in the beginning is sufficient. You simply say bismillah before reciting fateha and other surahs in the following rak’ahs. If you get distracted by Satan in your salah, you simply seek refuge in Allah and drily spit towards your left.

My sister follows the hanafi madhab and she insists on wearing hijab 24-7 including at home, because she says angels are shy of hair and they will not want to be around you if your hair is uncovered. Is there any basis for this in the quran and sunnah?

ANSWER: This is absolutely baseless and what she is doing is an innovation.

Is it permissible to hold a gathering for reading Quran, where everyone only reads the Arabic of Quran, very fast, no one understands the meaning of it. And it’s the goal to complete all 30 sections of Quran? After this people sit and talk about random things, eat food. In addition they consider this action will bring good luck or it will bring blessing.

I will be getting married soon InshaAllah and I don’t want take anything from bride parents but they are insisting if they give something to girl with happiness it doesn’t comes under dowry please guide what should I do ??

ANSWER: Yes, this does not come under dowry as it’s their right to give gifts to their daughter and whatever they give to her would belong to her and not you so you shouldn’t have any problems in it.

Sheikh, if I pray dhuhr or asr prayer behind an imaam, should I recite the dhikr in the ruku and sujood and in tashahhud or should I keep silent and just recite fatiha behind the Imam
