ANSWER: You must speak up now before the nikkah and going home with him as going home with them is consenting to such a marriage. No one can force you to someone you do not like and you must not agree to marry such a person.

QUESTION: Once during a Jumuah prayer,the mic of the mosque malfunctioned and we couldn’t hear anything,only bits of sounds were coming every now and then.As the people on the upper floors couldn’t see the imam, they improvised based on the bits they could hear.I was in the 2nd floor, without knowing what to do I followed them.I don’t know if the prayer was valid. What should we have done in such situation?

ANSWER: Its valid as long as you all did your due diligence. If you cannot know what position the imam is in at all then you can continue to pray on your own and finish the prayer

QUESTION: Son lives with wife & kids in separate portion of father’s house. Father deceased, mother runs household. Son gave no expenses for 5 years; mother pays for bills, rice, flour, etc. Wife is a narcissist No regard for mother. They are not trying to leave and bear their expenses Can mother sue to force them to live separately and bear own expenses?

ANSWER: She can simply kick them out as she is the head of the household. She is not obliged to pay for them whatsoever.

QUESTION: In our training academy musical nights took place during mess night program. If I block my ear with headphones etc stuff would I be sinful to sit there?if i fear risk for my career

QUESTION: Prophet Alaihissalam has cursed people who wear clothes imitating opposite gender. I as a girl have bought & I wear men’s white short sleeved undershirts that are not unisex & I wear them under the outer tops which are bit transparent due to the light color of outer tops. Can I wear them since I’m wearing them under my actual clothes or should I not wear them since they are still men’s clothes?

QUESTION: Regarding visiting my grandparents aunts or uncles if I know non Mahram female cousins and aunts will be present and uncovered. My family is loose in faith and does not observe Hijab. I fear that if I stop visiting to avoid seeing them they will label me an extremist and cause serious problems. What’s the best thing I could do?

ANSWER: Try to visit at a time when your female relatives (non mahram) would not be around. Keep the visit short and sweet and if they enter the room, lower your gaze, make an excuse and leave. Call them often to check up on them

QUESTION: I wore chemical henna which causes a barrier during my menses and when I became pure I tried but couldn’t remove all of the barrier. So I performed ghusl and prayed as it was late already.

ANSWER: If it is making a layer and a barrier over the skin that prevents water from reaching, you must remove it. If it can’t be removed, you must, after making wudhu or ghusl, perform tayammum for the areas missed.
