ANSWER: Yes, they are valid provided you do not face anything as such while in prayers. Try to cover it when praying and surely you must try and change your room and roommate if possible.

I wanted to ask as my husband went for some work to his country for 2 weeks and I am living here with my mother in law and father in law in Saudia Arabia. ANSWER: You must not rent the hall to the non muslims to use it for their religious marriages. You also must not rent it to Muslims who would use it for sinful gatherings.

Is it permissible to participate in an online based Quran completing competition? Where the participants update how much they’ve read everyday. And everyone who read the whole Quran will get a prize. ANSWER: This type of online competing done in chat groups is not recommended as it includes a lot of showing off and sometimes lying as well.

May I know if it is ok if my eyes are focus on a male Islamic teacher’s beard or neck or any area below that when I listen to his lecture on YouTube so that I could see his movements so that I could feel more engaging in a lecture rather than just listening by my ears? Please note that when doing this, I can still blurry see his face and it’s not clear.

ANSWER: There’s nothing wrong in looking at a man’s face as it’s not an awrah, providing there’s no fitnah.

What should i do if someone confronts me about a sin i have done? should i lie about it and say i didn’t. What if they ask me to swear by Allah that i didn’t do it? In this case not swearing would obviosly be like telling that person i have commited the sin? So what should i do in these cases?

ANSWER: Shaving is better as Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam prayed 3 times for the person who shaves his head in comparison to the one who trims it. However, trimming the hair is sufficient as well.

What should one do when sitting in the masjid and hears the athan. is saying “La illaha illa Allah” with congregation (in the end of athan) from the sunnah?

ANSWER: No. You repeat the athan individually after the Muazzin and then recite the prescribed dua after athan to be eligible for Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam’s intercession on the day of judgment.
