ANSWER: No, the imam doesn’t take the liability if you miss a pillar like reciting fateha in the silent rakahs. He must offer an extra rakah after the imam says salam.

QUESTION: Sheikh, may Allah preserve you. I have been reflecting on the wisdom of the animals being turned to dust after their scores are settled on the Day of Judgment. ANSWER: This is Allah’s will to show His creation that nothing goes without being justly judged and also to show who believes and who disbelieves!

QUESTION: I am close to close to finishing higher education studies in the UK meaning I cam then go onto doing university. I know that student loans are haram due to riba. I want to fund my tuition by doing apprenticeships or do full-time jobs for 1 to 2 years. However, it is highly competitive to find apprenticeships or jobs and I feel like I may be tempted to take the loan. Any advice?

QUESTION: Here, many people make the mistake of prolonging “akbar” and they say “akbaar”. I already advised imams about this. If I hear an advised imam do this mistake or a follower who is far away, but says it loudly, or even a child, should I break my prayer to tell them to say correctly, as I heard it changes the meaning into a meaning of disbelief

ANSWER: If you had warned them and they still insist on prolonging it to that extent that changes the meaning, the prayer is invalid and you shouldn’t pray behind such an Imam

QUESTION: I wanted to ask if my prayer as a woman is valid if during sujood my prayer dress rides up and my socks can be seen? Like my feet and their shape can be seen but are covered with socks, I tried to cover them fully with my dress but it always lifts slightly during sujood.

ANSWER: No problem if the socks are seen in sujood.

QUESTION: Is it haram to ask or beg my teachers to give me higher final grades than I deserve according to school rules? I attend a non-Islamic school with free mixing and other haram influences. Higher grades could improve my chances of transferring to an Islamic school.

ANSWER: We maintain family ties, kindness, good character, and patience with non-Muslim relatives. We do not compromise on matters of belief, worship, haram actions, or anything that involves disobeying Allah. Be as accommodating as possible in worldly matters, but do not obey anyone in sin. Preserve the relationship while politely declining what Islam forbids.
