QUESTION: Sheikh, I stay home all day bcos I do remote job. During work I ask mom to give me food or water etc. If I was working at office I would need to do it all by myself. My mom is often busy with home chores and get frustrated sometimes to answer me. ANSWER: You don’t have to take her permission nor even inform her because she has no right, none whatsoever over you. What matters is your husband’s permission, if he’s OK with you going then go ahead without waiting for anyone else’s approval.

ANSWER: Witr is wajib only upon the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam. We don’t have any reference to when it was mandated upon him.

ANSWER: It depends on his intention, if he believes Allah made this happen then its minor shirk but if he believes that this happened due to this person’s death on its own then its major shirk.

ANSWER: If this is the actual price of the pencil and not exaggerated and you are buying it because you need it and not just to enter the draw, winning it is permissible and halal for you in Sha Allah.

ANSWER: These are two separate matters. Not praying is a major sin and can mount to kufr if it is all the time. However, we would encourage such people as well disbelievers to do as many good deeds as possible as one doesn’t know when Allah will expand their chest and hearts to the truth.
