This is totally false. The hadeeth refers to Iraq and Iran where al the Fitnah has been coming from since the beginning of Islam and until date. This is a blatant lie spread by the Sheeah and Sufis.

Does Jarh wa ta’deel apply today? If it does then how does it apply to people?

It seems to me that it doesn’t apply today as the caliber of people needed is not found today. Besides, a lot of the people who do it today have hidden agendas, except few whom Allah knows best.

We often hear of a hadith that Allah appoints upon people a leader who is just like them. In arabic it goes like this, “kama takunu yuwala alikum”. Pls let me know if this hadith is authentic..

To my knowledge, this is not a hadeeth.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah(May الله be pleased with him) narrates that “MY MOST BELOVED النَّبِي مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ” That anyone who recites the following Salawaat(Durood) … …اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدِ نِ النَّبِيِّ الْاُمِّيِّ وَ عَلى آلِهِ وَ سَلِّمْ تَسْلِيْما eighty times after Asr Salah, before getting up from his place,ALLAH will forgive his sins of 80 years and reward him 80 years of good deeds.
