As my mentor , could you please advise me about the source of authentic online Islamic Education of Arabic language, Quran and Hadith? Would you recommend Islamic online university by dr. Bilal Philips? Do you have an institute of your own where I could enroll please? I hope and pray that you reply to my email with a clear advise and solution .

I am sorry to disturb you again, but i really need your guidance , as I have no one to guide me on this path. I feel blessed that i found your contact yesterday. I am in confusion for last one year and InshaAllah, i dont want to waste time, I am enrolled in an online Aalimah course , offered by an institute in Pakistan, called Zaynab academy. The heads of the institute are shaykh zulfiqar ahmed and shaykh kamaluddine ahmed. They Teach Quran, Hadith, Fiqh ( follow the madhab of Imam abu hanifa) and Arabic Language. This is a 5-6 year course and one who completes it gets a degree , and is given a title Aalim or Aalimah . I have learnt a lot during this one year Alhamdulillah. However my concern is that the shaykhs write deobandi and Naqshbandi in front of their names,saying that its just the name of institute where they received their Islamic educatin from, just like we call ourselves after the names of the universities we graduate from. Also they claim that their order of teaching is eventually descended down from Abu bakar Siddique and hence directly from Prophet Mohammed ( Peace and blessings of Allah SWT be upon him) , that is why it’s under the teachings of Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaáh. They also tell us to do daily “Muraqaba’ which is actually thinking about Allah SWT in our hearts, closing our eyes and let our heart say Allah Allah , and doing so will bring us closer to Allah SWT. They say that this act of Ibadah is proved by Quran , as is mentioned in Surah Muzammil verse18 ,or Surah Insaan verse 25 or Surah Aa’aala verse 1. Also they told us that 15th of Shaban is the night when Allah Subhanhu wa Taáala brings down the decree of people from Loh e Mahfoo to the first heaven and then on Laylatul Qadr , Allah SWT hands these matters to angels to bring them down to earth . So it’s a process that starts on 15th of Shaban and ends of Laylatul Qadr. They also say that Salat Tasbih is proved by Sahih Hadith from Abu Dawood’s narration. If I should leave their institute, then could you please recommend an online institute for getting Islamic education , where I could learn Quranic Arabic and Hadith. I don’t open links, but if they are proud of following these two deviant sects, you shouldn’t be with them.

I wonder sometimes if I am a Muslim or a kafir.The reason is that I do not and cannot get along with any of my family. I know up holding the ties of kinship is something that Allah and His prophet have enjoined and I do not deny that doing the opposite is haraam, but still there is nothing in my heart that wants to get along with them, neither for the dunya nor for Allah’s sake.

This is a great sin to sell and buy free human beings, slaves are only those which came after the Jihaad done under the authentic and legal leadership of a pious Muslim ruler.

Tayyib, but if we was to say how comes we take every hadith from him as authentic. and the others we check whether it’s Daeef or mawdoo or Hasan.

Someone try to put doubts to me regarding imam al Bukhari, and said why should we take from a man who comes years after the prophet. How is it that we accept every hadith from him. Please clarify this shubha

Allah has pledged to protect His religion and Imam Bukhari is one of such means! Without the sunnah, we would not have Islam and we won’t be able to understand the Quran!

We gave aqeeqah for our daughter recently, the goat did not have horns,is this acceptable?

I have two questions; 1. According to Sheikh Yusuf Qardhawi, a muslim living in North America can buy a house for personal use using Riba based financing if there is a “Dharoorah”. Please give your opinion on this. 2. There is a prevalent thought that one can divide his wealth amongst his heirs according to Islamic inheritance law during his lifetime to avoid any dispute and to save his heirs the difficulty involved in managing the inheritance division. Is this permissible or not?

I only answer for one question per email. This is wrong and not permissible! One might as well say that fornication and Zina is permissible there in the grounds that marriage is too expensive!

My school makes it mandatory for me to get health insurance, and the only way for me to cancel getting insurance from them is to get insurance from another company. They are taking a lot of money from me when I don’t want to give it. Is it okay for me to use the benefits from this insurance?

Insurance is not permissible in Islam! However, scholars say that in cases of obligation by the authorities, one is permitted to issue one and hence can benefit from it as they are taking your money unlawfully!

Islam is widely criticised as being sexist and opressive towards women. After doing some research, i realise most of this is true. Why is Islam so sexist? For example. Women have to obey their husbands commands, as though they are slaves. Women also have to cover up a lot, which men dont have to. Why did Allah impose these rules?
