am I allowed to fast every Monday and Thursday for the rest of Sha’baan? I started on the 12th which was a Thursday then also fasted Friday, Saturday and Sunday as they were the 3 white days. There are no basis of “shab-e-barat”and”shab-e-mairaj”in Quran and Hadis and it’s written no where that we should celebrate it or fast on those days. So the pansuras/Islamic books which show the nawafils and ayats we should read on those particular days so r all those pansuras/books nauzubillah wrong? Last year we followed a prayer calendar and fasted accordingto it. For some reason we then followed another calendar where suhoor was later because we were not sure if fajr was in correct time. Then we again returned to the old calendar cause it was safer. Do we have to make up those fasted days because we ate suhoor later and maybe fajr had already began?

Please could you advise regarding the times we have for fasting in the UK. Most masajid I believe will do end of suhur at around 3am but there are few masajid who will use 1am. I have read this is due to the 15 and 18 degree rulings but I don’t understand them. Last Ramadan I visited ENT doctor while fasting (I had a sinus) he inserted a tampon soaked with small amount of medicine into my nostril. Do I have to make up for that day? I might felt the taste of medicine in my throat after some time but I spitted out in order to clean my throat.
