Such a joint reception is permissible but what is not permissible is to have men and women mixing together, to have music or to imitate the Hindus in their rituals and henna.

Sheikh, is it permissible for a young brother who is not married to rub his private parts on the bed for him to ejaculate as he knows that masturbation is impermissible?

This is not permissible as this is masturbation! Fast voluntary fasts as much as needed, keep your daily adhkar, and lower your gaze. You must get married ASAP.

In our region, a lot of people believe on the a term called “zaicha” for marriae proposals. In this practice a person (aalim) takes girl’s and boy’s name along with date of births and mother’s maiden name and using their “knowledge of stars” they find the result. They called this trick Islamic and usually named as “Istikhara”. Can you please elaborate how does common man understand and trust it?
