Sheikh the government takes alot of tax from us, the amount we pay is a very large proportion of our sales and profits, do we still have to pay zakat or is it included in the tax, as the tax amount is used on the poor or the running of the country?

You still have to pay zakat if you have savings that exceed the threshold.

I know in islam like my father wud be a mahram to my wife but like is it like a real mahram or not really, like how i am to my mum because i have a young father 45 years old and now he is not married and despite that i would not like them to mix or be near each other even though i am present what is your opinion? He is a mahram for her and they can stay alone together, travel together, and uncover her hair infront of him. Unless you are accusing your father to be a filthy pervert, there are no grounds for such worries.

Is it allowed for women to wear perfume while at home? I read that if women wear perfume then they shouldn’t join the prayer, is it true?

sheikh i want to ask that if i want to play any game e,g cricket or football just for timepass and for that i join other players in the ground. But for some reason the two captains stat betting with one another. Is it permissible for me to continue playing even if i am just playing for myself and have nothing to do with their betting?

Sheikh I study alot on Islam and comparative religion and I try to spread the knowledge I have and I usually debate with family or friends but they get offended when I reject their cultural beliefs which goes against Quran and hadis. They say that I shouldn’t ask deep question on Islam and shouldn’t study islam too much. They feel that I’m young to educate them, what is your advice? I’m 18 btw.

Sheikh i got married recently and my wife is showing little interest in islam although she prays she delays her prayers whenever i put on a lecture on islam or try to make her listen to the quran with its translation she shows little or no interest i have been having problems with depression beccuase of this what should i do.

I used to have a haraam relationship before my husband,with a man who is a muslim. A while before I got married I cut ties with him completely and we left on cold terms. Sheikh, are we allowed as muslims to attend a burial of a christian? I am attending a nonmuslim university and one of our christian professors died,the students in the university were asked for attendance. If not, what is the basis of this? And what is the proper way of saying it so as not to offend others?
