Alhamdullilah.I become practising 2 and half years ago..I am a medical student and for studying purpose and other activities I maintain a non practising circle..that include gossiping etc.although I try to be concious but almost many times subject are discussed or sentences are uttered not permissible to the religion which is sometimes eeman degrading..now is it permissible to maintain this circle

1.Witr is not fard but rather a highly recommended sunnah which the Prophet salla Allahu aliaihi wa sallam never missed, even during safar. 2. Qunoot in Witr is not mandatory and it doesn’t require sujood as sahu if missed.

I wanted to know some ways in which I could help my friend. She used to pray on time but since the last few months she has stopped doing so. She doesn’t have any control over her daily routine and is struggling to study. She is a really good student and I want her to pray on time regularly. How can I convince or influence or do something that will encourage her to do so?

First of all stop having any communication with her as she’s not your Mahram. We don’t keep “Friends” with opposite gender in Islam. This is a trap of Satan to get you into haram through halal means.

What’s the reality of “Syed”, I am from India here they say that Syed is the tribe decent from Prophet (PBUH) family , so here they generate then more than anything. Could please elaborate on this with Hadith references

Syeds are the descendants of Prophet salla Allahu aliaihi wa sallam. But not all those who claim are actually his descendants. Even if they were, the only thing that makes a person honorable is his piety and good deeds not his ancestory.

Is there any difference in the Salah of men & women? Did Shaykh Shafi say something in the same regard??

There’s no difference between a man’s and a woman’s prayer.

I’m a new muslim and I was just wondering when doing morning prayer can you pray in your pyjamas or do you have to get dressed into your prayer clothes?

No problem if they’re clean. If you’re a man then you have to change and then go to the masjid.

In fard prayer when I find the imam in rukuh I don’t join him there rather wait for him to go to sujood and then I join him. Because I know that without fatiha my rakah is invalid. But I have also heard you saying if I join during rukooh my rakah is valid. Which one is corrert?

Whenever you enter the masjid, you must join the Imam regardless of the position he is in. If you manage to perform ruku while he is in ruku, this Rakah is valid.
