QUESTION: Dear Shaykh, it appears to me that this brand of Islam (Salafism) that you vehemently promote is a counter-productive approach to the propagation and education of our faith. It seems to go against hundreds of years of scholarly tradition, and is not necessarily the way of the Salaf as is claimed. What do you say to this oppositional voice against Salafism/ Wahhabism?

Sheikh we are ahle hadith we pray but we have other bad habits that we are hooked on to and its like a norm we watch movies listen to music. Sometimes we stay away from these things and then again we get back to it due to boredom or just for passing time but we do pray. Please advice what to do and many people who are ahle hadees by aqeedah they do such things like it’s a norm and culture.

ANSWER: The majority, as Ibn Masoud May Allah be pleased with him said, is whoever is upon the right path even if you were alone. This is why Allah described Ibraheem peace be upon him as “ummah” though he was alone.

ANSWER: It’s baseless. Whoever says such a statement and judgement is an ignorant imbecile and must not be taken as a scholar.

From the previous ques it’s clear that men shouldn’t marry a woman who goes on dargah or do biddah. My mom and cousins often force me to say yes for a man of the same category, when i refuse (as his family engage in the above mentioned deeds) they say that I’ll be responsible for my kids as a women raise kids not men. Is this right? Should i say yes for such a man?

ANSWER: No, you cannot marry from them as their aqeedah is corrupt! If they believe that the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam controls the universe and that he is created from Allah’s light, you can’t pray behind such people nor marry from them.

When the wind passes while praying, is it obligatory to wash the private part and wudu or just wudu again and then restart prayer?

How to respond to Super Sufis/Shias when they say excessive weeping over Hussain’s death or family loved ones death is not a Bidah because Prophet Yakub Peace Be Upon Him cried when he lost his son till he became blind. And prophets are infallible so they can’t do anything wrong.
