QUESTION: I found a quote unquote student of knowledge that highlighted the issues of Muawiya (May Allah be pleased with him) saying He used to curse Ali or the people of time used to curse Ali and He also states that Ibn Taymiyyah (Rahmiullah) was a Sufi, and says that he called Abdullah ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) an innovator. Should knowledge be taken from such a person?
