ANSWER:

We do good deeds and worship Allah to please Him and to seek jannah and because we fear His punishment and fire. This is what the Quran told us about the prophets and messengers of Allah and that they feared His wrath and hoped in His Paradise. 

Only deviant sufis say they worship Allah to please Him and not to seek jannah which is totally wrong and a deviant aqeedah 

QUESTION: Is it shirk to pray/ perform worship acts because you are scared Allah will put you in hellfire and you want to go to jannah? Because I heard someone say its shirk if you are not doing it only for Allah. How can i stop praying just because im scared of hell.
