ANSWER: Ahlu Sunnah are given all types of labels by deviant cults and sects trying to put them down as the disbelievers did with our prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam when they accused him of insanity or being a sorcerer, a lair and a fortune teller.

QUESTION: My wife’s family practices non-Sunnah rituals like Khatam on the 3rd, 7th, 40th day and yearly for the deceased, and seek help from Hazrats against evil. I avoid these as they aren’t from Quran or Sunnah. They call me Wahabi or extreme. I stay respectful, attend normal visits, and my wife supports me. Am I wrong for avoid their invitations?

ANSWER: No, you’re not wrong! In fact, what you’re doing is what needs to be done. Your wife shouldn’t also go to such gatherings. Calling the dead for protection is shirk.

QUESTION: I’m attending a fiqh class where the sheikh also discusses aqeedah. He says Allah is not in the sky or on the throne, and such beliefs could lead to kufr. According to him, Allah isn’t in a geographical position, as He doesn’t resemble His creation. This differs from Ahl al-Sunnah’s aqeedah. I’m unsure if I should continue, and I also invited a revert. Should I stop attending and advise her too?
