QUESTION: There is an area in the Girls Common Room in our university which is reserved for prayers. It is an area slightly raised above the ground and is bounded by wooden rails. Is it permissible for girls on their periods/without wudu to sit and study there?

QUESTION: If I arrive to the masjid and I want to drink water and follow the sunnah by sitting down but I haven’t prayed 2 raka yet, can I sit, drink, then pray the 2 raka?

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible. Pray first then drink. You can also drink while standing up like our prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had done that.

QUESTION: I know that walking to the masjid you get rewards (rank, good deed, sin), but does this apply to leaving the masjid too by walking?

ANSWER: What kind of a quesiton is this? There are no shops to buy food in the whole city except inside the masjid? It is not permissible to buy or sell inside the masjid regardless.

QUESTION: If someone is blessed with the means to build a large and aesthetically remarkable mosque inspired by top luxury brands. Would it be more virtuous to establish it in the West, where the local Muslim community is in need of such spaces? Or would it be preferable to build it in the Middle East, where the land holds greater sacredness and spiritual reward?

ANSWER: Build it wherever its needed the most & it’s not permissible to be extravagant in building masjids!

QUESTION: In my local masjid they are starting martial arts lessons inside the mosque. Is it permissible to pay for these lessons?

ANSWER: It is not permissible to conduct such a transaction inside the masjid as this is a form of trade and selling and buying.

ANSWER: No sin in entering the toilets as this is not part of the masjid

QUESTION: In my city, Masjid administratives don’t allow 2nd or more congregational prayer (fard) after a fard salah with imam & tell them to pray individually. Is it correct & does it fall any sin to the head of the masjid admin?

ANSWER: They do not have the right to prevent worshippers from praying in the masjid a second congregation.

QUESTION: I am a 16y.o practicing muslim alhamdullilah and I live in a country where having beards and praying in mosques(specifically for those who are under 18) is prohibited. If the authorities catch anyone being in a mosque, for example, he might have problems with the law. What shall I do in this situation as I cannot immigrate to a better country until I turn 18?

ANSWER: Allah says: fear Allah to the best of your ability! If it is a fact and genuine that they would put you in prison if you were to pray in the masjid, which I truly doubt, you can pray home
