My distant orphan relative married to a Hindu,without her guardian’s consent.That man said shahadah performed nikah (don’t know about mehr payment),shortly after that performed marriage according to Hindu custom and shortly after that registered marriage.Is this marriage jayaz as both of them are non practising Muslims?what about those who witnessed it?

This marriage is void if it doesn’t have the presence and consent of the guardian unless the Islamic judge conducted it.

If your marriage is void and you still continue it, you are a fornicator. You have to immediately make a proper nikah or split with immediate effect, if your marriage is not correct.

I am a previously divorced mother of one child. Last week I had my nikah done. I originally asked my brother to be my wali and support me in the nikah but he refused. Therefore I appointed the imaam of the mosque to act as my wali. The nikah was then done in mosque with the presence of two witnesses and haq mehr (money) was paid to me. Is this marriage valid?

My friend Alhamdulillah recently reverted to Islam.When he was a hindu as per the tradition he married his sister’s daughter. Now his question is since he has embraced islam, is his marriage valid as Islam doesn’t allow marrying sister’s daughter?

They must be separated immediately. They can’t be married and their marriage is void.

I want to know if it is halal to marry a divorce women with three childern which they cant tell her parrents due to a social reason which is that the man she is getting married to is not meeting her status in socity which they decided to marry in secret until the person becomes rich. they marry with two witnesess in secret. now they have this relation since 4 years and they still meeting each other in secret is it halal in islaam.

If the consent of the father who is the guardian of the woman was not taken, this marriage is void and not valid. It is strange how they only came to question the validity of their marriage after 4 years.

Its is permisible in islam for a muslim women or man to make her/his civil marriage by low for visa residence or citizenship without having any relation(without staing toghethr in the same house)

When I got married I did not sign, when the agreement was taking place they couldn’t send the certificate right then due to some problems. Now my concern is I am scared that I did a big mistake, and wondering if my marriage is proper or not?

If your father said to the groom: I give you my daughter in marriage and he said: I accept her, and you were approving that, your marriage is correct whether you signed or not. Therefore, you can sign when you got to India and this wouldn’t affect your marriage.

Your marriage is invalid. You have to go to the Islamic center and renew the contract as the Imam will act as your Wali.

If a girl lives alone in a foreign country without her father ( father is alive but he lives in the mother country) or if the father lives abroad (but the girl lives with her mother and her grandfather) . Can a girl do nikah without the father ?

The Nikah is invalid without the consent of the father. If they want to marry, he has to be either present or giving the power of attorney to someone who would represent him at the time of marriage.
