Yes, but the Sunnah is to sleep on your right side facing the Qiblah.

My sister gave her niece a gold set as wedding gift when she got engaged. The engagement broke and no wedding took place. Six years have passed and her niece is still not married. My sister now wants her gift back as she says since she didn’t get married she can take it back. Is this permissible.

The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: The bad example is not to us: the one who goes back on his gift is like a dog that vomits and eats his vomit!

Is it permissible? We give $30 each with the goal to lose 4% of body weight in 4 weeks. The money is kept in a pot collected by the company who hosts game. 4 weeks later the winners among us share the money. The company takes 10-25% of the total money collected. Those who didn’t lose enough weight or gave up don’t get anything. If everybody loses weight we simply get our $30 back

Can normal Muslims judge other Muslims? For example, if someone does something wrong which is directly in contradiction with Islam? In this case, by judge, I mean saying if the act is wrong or right and give the person advise. Is it permissible to point out one’s wrong on Internet if the person is out of reach? Please answer my question in the light of Quran and hadith.

Yes, this is permissible. What is not permissible is to accuse others of kufr or accuse them without knowing whether they are misinterpreting or ignorant or any such thing.

In surah Maidan verse 3 it says that we should not eat any food on which any other deities name is mentioned instead of Allah’s In India during harvest of rice,wheat, fruits and vegetables they offer puja (hindu prayers) in the name of the so called hindu gods (inauzo Billah). Is it halal to consume such food.

My father was just joking with my sister about the jealousy in her . he said jokingly that Allah gave jealousy to the whole world and the remaining he gave to my sister. He also said that Allah said to my sister,”Do you want this jealously, she said yes and Allah said take it.” Like he said it in a way Allah was saying.. Is this making fun of Allah..Does it come in kufr??

It seems that your father is ignorant! Such statements are totally prohibited as it is lying on Allah and claiming that He said what He didn’t say. You must bring it to his attention in a respectful way and show him the fatwas that prevent such statements.

One of my ex female classmate want invite me in her Walima ceremony. But I refused that invitation because of fear of Fitnah. Beause There Will be free mixing of male and female without prescribed hijab.there might be music, even I might fall into sinful act. Now my question is did I do any sin by refusing such invitation.

Is Stunned meat/chicken halal or haram? and in case it is haram then if a muslim person (lives in a non-muslim country) asks the shopkeeper about it. What’s the ruiling in Islam on it? Should we eat it?

Is it permissible to follow the rules of non Muslim countries like India where Halal things are prohibited. For example hunting the deer is halal in Islam. But it is prohibited in Indian law. Is it ok to follow such rules?
