Recently we had floods in our city. And we being in India there are a lot of temples here. So after the floods were over. The muslims helped to clean the temples as they were cleaning the masjids also. Is there anything wrong in doing so?

The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: whoever imitates a people, he is from them. Being with them on such an event is not permissible.

Can a muslim wish hindu or any other religions on their festival as we live around them in india and do we say the same duaa as a when a muslim dies ..inna lilahi wa inna ilaihi raajioon

Muslims take their religion from Quran and sunnah with the understanding of the salaf and not from Jews or Christians! The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam didn’t order us to kill the Jews or Christians! If he had, we would have killed them all and none of them would be living today!

Shaykh, I am worried; I intentionally give the wrong impression. obviously we hate disbelief so we have for example Christianity. But I have a Christian interviewer so I don’t want him to think or rather know that I hate Christianity otherwise he will reject me obviously. So is it okay for me to want him to be ignorant of that fact?

Where does it say in Islam that you must tell people you hate their religious orientation?

Are we allowed to take sweets from non Muslims during their celebrations?

Yes, if they give you. However one must not participate to their festivals.
