QUESTION: Does a woman have to wear socks if her abaya is long enough to cover her feet ?

ANSWER: As long as her abaya is long enough to cover her feet and would not expose her feet when changing positions during salah then no problem, otherwise she must wear the socks.

QUESTION: When a woman prays, if her hair is wet( because of ghusl), can her hair on the back be seen or does she have to cover herself in the front and the backside? Will she be sinful for letting her hair be exposed on the back?

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and if done intentionally, her prayer is invalid! She must completely cover herself from head to toe, except for face and hands while praying and a very loose abaya over your normal clothes and a scarf that covers all your hair and chest area does the job perfectly.

QUESTION: To get the reward of performing umrah, should we stay in the same position that we prayed Fajr until ishraq time? Can we get up and take the Quran or do dhikr walking in the masjid?

QUESTION: In order to get the reward for staying in the prayer mat after praying, do we have to stay in tashahhud position or can we change it as it’s difficult to sit with right foot held upright on the toes for long.

ANSWER: You can change the sitting position and sit in a relaxed way.

QUESTION: When making intention for prayer..can I just stand and say the takbir for Salah and start prayer as I know inside my heart that I have done wudu in order to pray that certain prayer?

QUESTION: If I intend to pray shaf’i 2 rak’ah and then 1 rak’ah witr after it can I change my mind during prayer and make it 3 rak’ah witr? E.g., instead of sitting for the second rak’ah I get up and make the prayer witr. And vice versa, i.e., intending to pray 3 but making it 2 + 1 instead?

QUESTION: Is this Dua to be said after tashahhud (in salah) before Salaam or to be said after Salaam? Allahumma inni a’üdhu bika min ‘adhābi jahannam, wa min ‘adhäbi-l-qabr, wa min fitnati-I-mahya wa-I-mamät, wa min sharri fitnati-I-mashi-d-dajjal.

QUESTION: Sheikh, My house is very close to the masjid.During Isha prayer the masjid fills up quickly and I am unable to get a place to pray.The loudspeakers are switched on during Isha prayer,so I can hear the Imam’s prayer clearly from my house.This takes place only in taraweeh.Having said that, can I pray in my house with the intention of praying in congregation
