I sometime wake up late for fajar salat but when I do wake up I read straight away, and I read 2 Rakat sunnat and 2 Rakat fard is that right or do I just read fard only thank you

ANSWER: If you wake up before sunrise and you are able to finish it all before it begins to rise, this is the right thing to do. But if you wake up and there is very little time to pray, you must pray the fard first and then pray the sunnah.

If a person deliberately swallow food-Rests in fard prayer. Is this kufr? Is his prayer void?

ANSWER: This is not kufr however, the prayer is not valid.

I joined at fourth rak’ah with imam at ‘Asr prayer and considered it as my fourth rak’ah as well. Then I followed the imam till salam and after his salam, I stood up and firstly prayed the two rak’ahs as I pray usually then I sat for tashahud and finally prayed my third rak’ah, then I sat again and concluded my prayer after tashahud, darud etc and salaam. Is my prayer ok?

ANSWER: The prayer was invalid. The Rakah you prayed with the imam was your first. This means that after his salam, you should have prayed one more Rakah and sat for the tashahud as it was your second. And then you complete your 3rd and 4th Rakah.

I have developed a habit of offering only one rakat of witr in Isha. So I usually offer 4 rakat Fard, 2 rakat sunnah, and I rakat witr. What’s the ruling on that?

Can one shorten prayer when he is at the airport or does he have to wait til the plane takes off?

ANSWER: If the airport is within the city limits, he must wait for the plane to take off to pray like a traveler.

In friday , can women in her home pray dhuhr in house before finishing khutbah or Friday jumua prayer in mosque for men.or have to pray after finishing the prayer.is there any rules regarding this? Or women can pray dhuhr in time without taking the account of jumua prayer for men?

ANSWER: She can pray dhur the minute the time for dhur has entered without paying any regard to Jummah.

In the world Most of the normal peoples who missed fardh salah intentionally and non intentionally.so they have more pending salah.In our location(India) i asked this question what to do with the pending salah to my alim.he replied you should not do sunnath salah instead you want balance your pending fardh salah.what’s the correct ruling and answer for this ?

ANSWER: It is not permissible to pray the prayers that you missed deliberately, without any reason. You must repent sincerely to Allah and never do such a major sin again and do a lot of voluntary good deeds and worship, especially night prayers to try and compensate for the missed prayers.

My mom had both knee replacement surgery many years ago doc advised her not to sit on floor and not bend her knee in sajda position.she pray Salah while sitting on chair recently she heard person must start her prayer while standing and in every rakat must stand is it right?plz elobrate proper way of Salah while sitting.

I heard people saying we are bound to follow congregation rules in fardh only? Is it ok to pray separately (some ppl stand separately but following imam while all other stand in congregation) or not attaching shoulder/feet when praying nafl rakah in congregation (taraweeh & qiyyam).

ANSWER: It is not permissible at all to stand alone, away from the rows and pray, this will invalidate their prayers whether in fard or in voluntary prayers.
