ANSWER: This should not be done regularly except with the wife.

When the imam turns around to face the congregation after salah, is this an indication that the prayer is over, or is it something else?

ANSWER: This is the Sunnah which the Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam used to observe after fard salah. The prayer is over once he offers salam to the right and left before facing the congregation.

MY SISTER IS A MATHS TEACHER IN A SCHOOL AND ALHAMDULILAH SHE WEARS A JILBAB AND COVERS HER FACE. WHILE OFFERING SALAH SOME OF HER COLLEAGUES FROM ISLAMIC DEPARTMENT OF SAME SCHOOL HAVE TOLD HER THAT IT IS NOT PERMISSIBLE TO OFFER THE SALAH WHILE HER FACE IS COVERED AND SHE SHOULD UNCOVER HER FACE WHILE OFFERING SALAH. KINDLY CORRECT US WHAT TO DO?

Please advise me on how to explain the status of salaat in islam to my boss who is a Christian because my other workers don’t priotize salaat when they call the azaan and pray the time they want so he see me as odd.

have lot of pain in my knees. I have weak legs since many years. Daily overexertion & lack of sleep and stress is there as I take care of my 21m twins alone. Can I pray salah in sitting position on the floor? If I take chair my twins climb on it n play n fall n remove it when I go in sujood. I’m taking medicine for my weak legs but the day I get less rest n sleep it comes back again on n off.

In the book ” Hisnul Muslim” I found other duaa’s of ruku and sujud. My question is can I read any of those duaa in ruku and sujud? Or should I have to first read “sub’hana rabbi al azim” and “sub’hana rabbi al aa’la” and after that I have to read those duaa? (Jazaka allah khair)

ANSWER: You can read those duas, providing you first recite Subhana Rabbial azeem (in ruku) and Subhana Rabbial aa’la (in sujood) at least once.

The fajr time in England is very late I have intention to pray them however my father keeps Saying that I’m too young if thought I’m 16. I ask him to wake me up however he doesn’t and switches off the alarms I set out, and every time I confront him he says he was going to wake me up. Some of the times I was awake pretending to be asleep and he never tried to wake me. What to do?

ANSWER: Drink a lot of water before going to bed. Keep your alarm and hide it somewhere that he cannot find and get up and pray on time as it’s mandatory upon you to pray all your prayers on time.

In congregation, when should we say salam? During the imam says salam or after he finishes his both two salams then we say it? Our local hanafi imam elongates both salams.

ANSWER: The followers must say their Salam ONLY after the imam concludes giving Salam on both sides.

If the imam says ameen loudly during salah after reciting al-fatiha, should the jamaat say ameen after him or along with him?

ANSWER: Along with him.

Sheikh, when i’m on vocation, (a traveler) i often combine prayers without any reason, for my ease, and since Allah has given this ease I fully utilise. Is this wrong? Should i only combine prayers, when there’s a need or being a traveler as a reason is sufficient to combine prayers without any other reason?
