QUESTION: We are expecting a baby boy in couple of months In Sha Allah. I really want to name my son as ‘NOAH’. As we are from non Arabic part of the world we often ten to mis pronounce ‘NUH’ as it is not a common name. My question is can we name him ‘NOAH’ and pronounce it as it is pronounced in bible ? Is this permissable?

ANSWER: One must be proud of his Islam and give Islamic or Arabic names. It is inappropriate to give such altered names just to blend in with the disbelievers.

QUESTION: I don’t wish to marry. I will never marry & do sx with any woman (in this world). Because I don’t want because of me doing sx & human produces & those humans suffer in this world such harsh trials & also in the hereafter in so many stages even I don’t know my progeny will burn in hell or not. So I won’t marry. Is there in shirk/kufr in this planning/ thinking?

ANSWER: This is thinking negative in Allah and an indication that such a person has mental problems and challenges in thinking! Why doesn’t he think positively by believing that Allah will make out of his offspring Imams and leaders of the Muslims and scientists who would cure illnesses and bring happiness to humanity?

QUESTION: I have heard a daa’eyah say that we shouldn’t teach young children about the attributes of Allah like his wajh, hands, shin, feet because the young children aren’t able to understand these things and could fall into tajseem so we should teach them when they are able to understand these sensitive topics, what is your view on this?
