I live with my parents in UAE and I earn 2200 AED. My dad can’t work heavy work due to illness. So, he does a small job like dropping staff to office and to home, which is not a permanent job. I think ,UAE doesn’t allow like this kind of work because his visa is not of this work. His sponsoring company doesn’t have work for him. We have put visa from them just to make his stay in UAE legal. Is this work halal?

It is not halal as he is disobeying the law.

I am from Uk and am on job seekers. My advisor had rang me about a jobat post office. The job role is called post office assistant its more like a window clerk serving customers through window such as sell stamp and deal with parcel etc. In these post office they sell alcohol and wine also lottery tickets and said i have to attend a session where iwill get more info about the job. And there maybe a time where they might want me to serve custoners on tilIs and sell these haram things.Is it Haram to work in such environments where they sell lottery tickets, alcohol and wine and cigerettes??

aselam aleikum werahmetulah.i am from Ethiopia & i want to ask if working in a central bank as IT staff is haram or hala? it do not give normal bank services like depositing & lending but i fear there might be some percent of interest income. how can i purify my earning if working in this organization is haram? 2. how about working in the library that the bank owns which have nothing to do with the bank’s business aspect and systems? please help! jezzakelah kheyren!

During recruitment should I give priority a muslim over non muslim if it happens to be my company? Is there any other advice that you like to give us regarding this matter?

If it is your company and both candidates are equal in qualification of close, you should give priority to the Muslim. Otherwise, you want your job to be fulfilled and executed by someone who is capable.
