I belong to a joint family where my in laws and his whole family worship azmir and they offer sujud on the north side(sending salam). In the month of rajab they organise 7 days program called oros. I am bound to attend there because I am the youngest. But I don’t follow their rituals. Will Allah punish me for attending there? Is there prayers are valid?

ANSWER: It’s totally prohibited to participate in such shirk! If your husband is one of them, your marriage is void and you are living in a haram relationship!

My husband is non practicing Muslim, he doesn’t pray at all.He doesn’t provide for me as well.do I have to obey him if he asks for intimacy?

ANSWER: No! You don’t have to obey him and if he doesn’t pray at all, it is not permissible for you to stay married to him!

I belong to a Sunni family where we don’t follow dargah or murshad. Recently, my family came across a proposal where the guy is mehdavi (a group of people who believe that Imam Mehdi has arrived 700 years ago),his family believes in murshad, and they even have a mehdi masjid. He claims he doesn’t believe in such things and follows sunnah. My question is, is it okay to marry him?

ANSWER: This is too dubious and not clear. You shouldn’t risk yourself marrying such a person unless there are Sunni Imams and students of Knowledge testifying that he is a sunni and attending all prayers with them and has a sound Islamic aqeedah. Otherwise, he is not the last man on earth!

Sheikh can a divorced muslim women get married again without the consent of her father if he only keeps giving excuses after excuses.

ANSWER: If your father rejects MANY good proposals without any justifiable reason, you can approach the muslim Qadi and he will look into your case and decide. But if he only rejected this particular suitor, you can’t marry him without his consent as this is his right in Islam and you must obey him.

ANSWER: If the marriage took place without the knowledge of the father of the girl, this is void and the relationship is zina.

My roomate was adopted by her paternal uncle now that he throwed her out of the house and doesn’t provide her money .so she started working and met a guy in her office and getting married soon inshallah but doesnt want to tell about the marriage to her adopted father as he is least bothered and there is no mahram for her.what should she do.

ANSWER: She can’t marry without his consent and approval. She should fear Allah, repent to Him, show remorse from being in contact with a non mahram and apologize to her uncle and try to mend things with him.

In the subcontinent, there is a tradition called “Halala Marriage”. Once a women is divorced but after iddah, if she wants to go back or the husband wants to take hart back, she needs to get marry another person and if the 2nd hubby dies or give divorce to dat woman, she can get back to the 1st hubby. Is it authentic if not how can she get back to him?

4-5 people told me that if a girl and boy is in a serious relationship , if they said ” qabool hai ” 3 times as per conditions of nikkah , without signature on nikkah papers and even there is no witness of this act , they are considered as nikkahfied . ANSWER: This is absolutely prohibited and they are sinful and they would be living in zina if they started living together because this is not a marriage, rather it’s a mockery of Allah’s laws!

There is a couple who had been involved in a haram relationship which involved zina, they didnt repent properly and maintained communication but got married in a proper way, is their marriage valid?

ANSWER: If they didn’t repent from their fornication, their marriage is invalid and they must renew the contract according to the most authentic opinion of scholars.
