Shaikh, if my father kills a sheep and says bismillah and turns the face of animal to kaba and he is following the Sheriah but he does shirk as he prayers to grave and ppls who does shirk. Are we allowed to eat from that animal?

Sheikh the security condition in the area we live is really bad and so the best option we have is to keep a dog but we live in an apartment is it possible to have a dog living in the apartment with us though I try and keep some area restricted to it for the purpose of cleanliness for performance of Salah? Shaikh, there are many instances of snakes entering my house,the latest is that it entered my mother’s room & I found it near her bed & killed it.Same happens with my neighbor but his dog kills the snakes.Can I also keep a dog outside my house but inside the compound {in the porch} to safeguard us against snakes.

ANSWER: This is not permissible. You can buy snake repellent. Also, remove weeds, excess vegetation, piles of debris and any other areas where snakes can hide to prevent them from coming into the house.

Nowadays we hav wats app and wat app groups… So here in wats app group we get lots of wishing of Assalaamualaikum …many people wish us.. So is it mandatory to reply them back by typing it or just we say Walaikumsalaam to ourselves is enough..

Killing without a legitimate reason is a sin. Better give it to someone else who will love and take care of them more than you. You can also eat them if you wish.

I’ve seen people say ‘Salam’ when they start conversations online. Is this number way of greeting is permissible?

Yes it is permissible but not recommended and not according to sunnah.

I live in India. The government here is using our tax money and building statues and making laws against Islam and muslims. I have a business here and I fear the sales tax that I am paying will be used against Islam . So if I avoid paying tax, is my money earned through business haram…?

Your money earned is halal but you should not break the rules of the country in which you are residing nor lie or cheat! A Muslim doesn’t do this. You can try to migrate to a Muslim country.

Hanafi school of though says: 1- alcohol from dates and grapes is absolutely haraam,even the tiniest drop. 2- all other kinds of alcohols are haram when used in such quantities that are intoxicating. Is this correct?
