i have a question about divorce. i have been separated from my husband for 8 months,haven’t seen him either n i want a divorce from him, is it true that when a husband and wife dont stay in a normal husband wife relationship for more than 6 months the divorce takes place by itself?

In this case Her iddah would be until she delivers her child. If this is the first or second divorce, it can be revoked but it is the third, this is irrevocable.

There are some scholars who say that 3 talaq in one sitting counts as 3, thus a marriage is nullified. There are also some scholars who say that 3 talaq in one sittings counts as only 1? Am I blameworthy if I choose to follow 3 talaq is equal to 1? Is it ok to do this? (Ref: Sahih Muslim 9: 3492 in the book of divorce).

My husband divorced me while I was on my menses. I watched your program on Peace TV that you stated divorcing your spouse while she is on her menses is prohibited so I presumed that the divorce is invalid and the spouse has to be in the state of purity before issuing the divorce. If you are divorcing him, your are not obliged to give him any sexual rights. But if it is only a dispute and you want to go back to him, you should give him his rights or you will be sinful and cursed by angels. You must proceed immediately on filing for divorce, khulu or going back to him.

A bed-ridden husband called up his mother-in-law and informed her that he is divorcing his wife. The wife was sitting right in front of the husband. When the mother-in-law told the husband that maybe he was just angry, the husband replied, “No, I am not. This is wrong and totally prohibited. It is not the right for the mother to ask for such a thing, and if there is no reason for divorce, he will be sinful at the sight of Allah if he divorces his wife.
