QUESTION: I came to know that it is arrogance to consider myself better than others. But how can I think myself same or below them who are smoking in front of me, watching haram videos, do free mixing? And when they do so what should my mind think of that? Please some advice…..

ANSWER: Don’t compare yourself to them and don’t think of yourself to be better or worse as this is in Allah’s Hands. Detest their sins but don’t see yourself better than them.

QUESTION: Is it permissible for a woman to train herself to be able to speak in a deeper voice such that people who hear it will think that it’s a different person, and then she will use this voice whenever she speaks to non-Mahrams to reduce the possibility of attraction?

ANSWER: This is not permissible nor needed. She simply uses a firm voice, without softening, when she has to speak with non mahrams.

QUESTION: Should we say salam when a muslim teacher enters the class because saying Salam is the right of a muslim. If it is so, then each and every child should go and say salam to the teacher? Just to note:In our class there are many non muslims too and people dont really care of saying salam in our class.

ANSWER: Yes. Refraining from any kind of haram increases your iman.

QUESTION: How to ensure firm faith in dua. As in sometimes when I make dua I get a thought or somewhere in my heart I feel as if I’m not worthy to be asking this much. Or why would Allah think I deserve all of this. It makes me think that my dua is weak because of such thoughts. I want to make dua with surity that Allah will grant my prayers. How do I make sure my heart is firm & avoid these thoughts?

ANSWER: You must have the belief that Allah is able to answer your duaa, and if He treats us according to our deeds then we will be destroyed, but Allah is the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate.

QUESTION: Young salafi adult male feels lonely and like a stranger among his relatives and parents. They are barelwis and engage in sin. They don’t know about his ‘conversion’.
