ANSWER: This is not sinful but only a senseless person would do something like that even after knowing the reward of praying in the first row behind the imam.

My motorbike has a storage space which is under the seat we suppose to sit on. Can we keep Quran in that space and ride the vehicle?

ANSWER: Until you begin to give salam to your right. You should continue to make duaa till the end of the prayer while moving your finger and looking at it.

I have a college task that demand me to practice some kind of chants with certain movements that includes clapping, raising hands, and turning our body, its purpose is to ignite the spirit of the group. The chant is only about saying Good Jobs 3x, there is no music, & all the participants are males like me. Is it permissible to do this certain chants & movements in unison?

ANSWER: This is not from Islam and it seems to me that this is imitating the disbelievers in their culture and it is not befitting of Muslims to do it. What would you say if you saw me doing this movement in a lecture or with other daees? Wouldn’t you think that this is inappropriate?

ANSWER: No. No problem in this as this is the time when people are already in the masjid and the imam finds it easier to address the congregation and give dars.

I pray salah but I’m not sure if my wife prays that I know that i am getting married to. If I Pray and she doesn’t is the marriage valid, after marriage I intend to make her pray.

ANSWER: If she doesn’t pray at all, she is not Muslima and the marriage contract is void.

I was about to join the first line(saf) in the prayer and I was the last one to join but a brother said I shouldn’t join the first line and start the second line(saf) with him because he would be alone. Is this correct or should I have joined the first line?

ANSWER: If there is place left in the first row then you should fill that gap first. If there is no possibility of him squeezing himself in, he is right and you should go back with him.

What is the reward for saying the longer version of dua (alhamdulillahilladhee ath’amanee hadha, varzakaneehi…) after eating food. I heard that all our past sins will be forgiven if we say that dua.

ANSWER: This is true.

We need to take my sisters wedding just the day after the hajj festival. But we have our family members telling us not to take because a wedding should be taken only after the hajj kutbah is over. Is there a ruling like this??

ANSWER: There is no such ruling in Islam. As long as they are not in the state of Ihram and performing hajj or umrah, they can get married any time of the day or night.
