QUESTION: Prophet Alaihissalam has cursed people who wear clothes imitating opposite gender. I as a girl have bought & I wear men’s white short sleeved undershirts that are not unisex & I wear them under the outer tops which are bit transparent due to the light color of outer tops. Can I wear them since I’m wearing them under my actual clothes or should I not wear them since they are still men’s clothes?

QUESTION: Regarding visiting my grandparents aunts or uncles if I know non Mahram female cousins and aunts will be present and uncovered. My family is loose in faith and does not observe Hijab. I fear that if I stop visiting to avoid seeing them they will label me an extremist and cause serious problems. What’s the best thing I could do?

ANSWER: Try to visit at a time when your female relatives (non mahram) would not be around. Keep the visit short and sweet and if they enter the room, lower your gaze, make an excuse and leave. Call them often to check up on them

QUESTION: I wore chemical henna which causes a barrier during my menses and when I became pure I tried but couldn’t remove all of the barrier. So I performed ghusl and prayed as it was late already.

ANSWER: If it is making a layer and a barrier over the skin that prevents water from reaching, you must remove it. If it can’t be removed, you must, after making wudhu or ghusl, perform tayammum for the areas missed.

QUESTION: I received a meat box from a local butcher containing pork and non-zabiha beef. I did not request these items. Is it permissible for me to return them to the butcher, or should I dispose of them or give them away to non-Muslims?

ANSWER: If the period comes even a few seconds before Maghrib, your fast of that day is not valid and you must make it up

ANSWER: If he had agreed to you studying and doing a halal job after marriage and this was stipulated in the marriage contract, he cannot go back on his word! If he does, you have the option to ask for divorce

QUESTION: Using right hand to hold ur private parts when using bathroom or when cleaning after using it,its not allowed as per hadith of the prophet ﷺ ,but is touching it at other times allowed with right hand? For example when doing ghusl or while intercourse?

QUESTION: Since I traveled to a country that started and ended Ramadan later than my departure country, I would have fasted 31 days if I didn’t exceed suhoor time by mistake on 2 days. I only made up one day and fasted 6 days of shawal. Did I have to make up 2 days to fast a total of 31 days or 1 day to have a total of 30 days?

ANSWER: It doesn’t matter! If you skipped or broke the fast of one or more days in ramadan, you must make that up.

QUESTION: My grandmother electricity has been cut off because of unpaid bills but now she using the electricity through illegal way and I told her that this is haram, will i be sinful if i charge my phone at her house or used air conditioner? And if I am sinful how to repent?

QUESTION: In Shariah women take permission from mahrams, but my father and brothers neglect responsibilities. My father even said he is dead when I asked for fees, and my brothers refuse duties. My sisters reached marriage age, yet they neglect that too. My mother supports my brothers and doesn’t teach them their responsibilities. I’m fed up. Why should we still seek permission?

ANSWER: This is the law of Allah that cannot be changed because of some imbecile individuals! They are sinful for neglecting their duties, like a father not showing interest in his daughters’ wedding etc. However, two wrongs don’t make a right! You must obey your father and be dutiful to him.
