QUESTION: While praying 2 rakah of sunnah prayer, By unconsciously I stood up directly for 3rd rakah n recited surah fatiha then while standing i remembered my mistake of praying extra so immediately i seated down to tashahud n then did sujood as sahw before salaam. So what I did is correct or do I need to finish that 3rd rakah properly even though i remembered?

ANSWER: What you did by sitting immediately as soon as you realised was the right thing to do, however you should have done sujood as sahu after salam and not before. Your prayer is valid though.

QUESTION: Should i do haram to prevent a bigger haram? For example, my brother is playing haram video game, and i can stop him by playing with him a less haram one, or by playing jt myself. So should i, not just referring to video games, do haram to prevent a bigger one?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. You don’t become a bridge over hellfire that others walk on while burning yourself. Save yourself!

QUESTION: If a person commits a major sin and repents, thinking Allah will forgive him, but continues repenting until his heart feels at ease, only then believing Allah has forgiven him, this is not sinful nor kufr. ANSWER: This is not sinful or kufr but a true believer doesn’t feel safe until he puts his first foot in paradise. He has a balance between the hope in Allah’s forgiveness and the fear of His wrath.
