When my friends come to me for help in religios matters (Alhumdulillah), at times I tell them to do a particular good deed, like praying Tahajjud or reciting a lot of durood and that I do it too. I tell them so that they may be encouraged because if I can do it, then why not they themselves… I do take a lot of care not to fall for riyaa, is what I do correct and how should I take care not to fall into riyaa in this case?

………………………………………………………………………………….. You shouldn’t do this as this is one of the steps of Satan. You can use example of others such as the companions and the scholars but don’t ever talk about your own good deeds and leave them between Allah and yourself.

I want to ask that making a film on the history of Islam or on life of any prophet is right or not?

The scholars agree that it is forbidden to act the role of any Prophet or Messenger of Allah. It is also forbidden to act the companions of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam.

I used to backbite in my jaahiliya. I have Full regret now. ASked repentance for my self and for the one i have backbitten about with full deep repentance in my heart. Will this be sufficient inshaAllah

Yes, but you shouldn’t allow this to destroy you and haunt you as this would bring joy to that person’s heart.

I have a group of friends, Muslims, but they do not pray, they listen to music, drink, smoke, go clubbing. Will I be punished for leaving my friends, who are Muslims?

You have to leave them as they are not good friends.

My question is regarding those who we are supposed to keep good ties of kinship with, like our Maharams. What about those who are from the same family as you and they are not close relatives

If they are not your mahram, you shouldn’t contact them. However, if they are females, you should connect with them every now and then but not as frequent as your uncles, aunts and cousins. If they don’t want to contact you, call them every week or so and this should be enough.

I buy a card that allows me to send free text messages and I get some money on the mobile. That money on the mobile I usually use for sending some money through SMS to countries that are in need. Do you think I do get at least a little?

Sheikh.there are many who steal electricty through different tehniques but if they are warned they say its a non muslim goverment so its not haraam?is it ok?and yes if they are caught they can be made to pay heavy penalty

This is a sin and it is not permissible. The sin is doubled because they are giving the Muslims a bad name

I always think of reading some lines from the Quran with the meaning daily and think of doing supplications and read the sunnah rakat of prayers..but i always get lazy when the time comes and never do whatever i had planned. how can i overcome this?

Get over your laziness. If you truly wanted to do it, you would have succeeded and Allah would have helped you.
