QUESTION: In my masjid, the congregation prays on a carpet, but the imam prays on a prayer mat placed over the carpet and then another prayer mat on top of that, which raises it slightly. Is this practice considered an innovation (bid’ah) in Islam?

ANSWER: It is permissible to study medicine that is based on science and that would benefit others. However, if such studies are based on gods and kufr and it is not scientific, you must not continue in such a field as it has no benefit to it.

QUESTION: I live in Singapore. Housing is EXPENSIVE. Govt. forcefully takes 20% of salary for housing/medical. MAJORITY of ppl can’t afford to buy/rent with their salary. QUESTION: At school, I used a metallic ruler and rub it against the table very fast and then press it against my friends to give them a burning sensation on their skin. QUESTION: I live in Bangladesh.We Bengali people often say ‘ma’ (means mother ) when something unusual happens.For example if we get hurt. There is an app that gives rewards for uploading the receipts and later that reward can be converted into gift cards. Is the gift cards/rewards halal for me if I use those receipts?
