QUESTION: When talking to myself, I sometimes talk bad about people, basically I verbally say these things to just myself while being alone and no one hears me. Is this considered backbiting? Do I need to ask forgiveness to the people I said bad things about while talking to myself?

ANSWER: Whether it would affect your duaa or not, this is in Allah’s hands as sins do weaken the chances of your duaa being accepted. Smoking is sinful.

QUESTION: My frnd is obedient to her parents and loves them because she loves to do it. She feels happy. In return she doesn’t want anything in return from her parents. She does it unconditionally. But she is also not doing this to please Allah. Now she is confused if this is shirk or something that will take her out of the fold of Islam. Is this halal to do this?

QUESTION: Sheikh u don’t understand the severity of my situation. I want to leave a haram relationship for the sake of Allah but it’s literally KILLING him.
