I live in a non-muslim country and I am planning to become a surgeon and I currently wear trousers when learning surgery in the hospital and I cant wear anything else because its not sterile.I have to wear what they give me when entering the operating room. Is this permissible?

It is not permissible for you to wear such clothes as it is against Islam. You must ask them to allow you at least to wear a long white robe as doctor usually wear if not in surgery

I’m aware that Isbal applies to women also – but there is the exception for a woman’s abaya to drag when going outside. What about the white wedding dress which leaves a trail?

It is an issue of dispute. Personally, I don’t think that the hadeeth of Isbal refers to women and therefore, it is permissible to wear such a wedding dress.

Sheikh, if I do niqab and cover my whole body properly and fulfill all requirements of hijab.Then is it okay to have a bunch on the head as many saudi women keep? will that be like the camel’s hump that is mentioned in a hadeeth and is forbidden?

This is forbidden as it is the hump of a camel.

My cousin ( female) wants to study in Australia for medical , she has a brother with her , elder brother. Is there any problem to continue her studies over there?

Traveling is permissible with her brother. The problem is with mix classes. This is not permissible.

I wanted to know the relationship between the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) of the “dressed yet naked women,” and the supporting evidence for the obligation of hijab. Can this hadith be used as additional evidence to showthe obligation of hijab? Are we allowed to say that ALL women who do not wear hijab are committing tabarruj and may not smell the scent of paradise?

It is not an evedince of hijab but it is part of the conditions. We should not describe specific individulas of being punished through this hadeeth. However, we say that those who fit this hadeeth will be punished by this punishment.

I have read in many places that it is haram for women to wear jewellery made from copper, brass, silver. What is the ruling on this?
