My period is irregular and sometimes when it comes I used to see some drops or it’ll come in the morning and evening but at mid night I don’t see anything. This happens some days/weeks before its comes. I don’t know whether I should pray because it happens like this for 3 weeks now. I am confused of what to do.

Is it allowed for somebody to just fast for long periods because I was reading a hadith against that with the 3 men. One not sleeping, marrying, and always fasting. Can one just decide to fast for a month and then take a break then fast for another 2 months then take a break and so on?
