A friend mentioned that “One” may be improper to translate “Ahad” (in context of the Tawheed of Allah). This is because in the English language, “One” may suggest that there is “Two”, “Three”, etc. He said that it is preferable to say “Alone” instead, because it shows better that “there is no other”. A person praying behind the Imam had to recite Surah Al-Faatihah slowly (he has a sore throat) and could not finish it until, say, the Imam started to go into Sujud. If the person did Ruku, then stand up, (doing everything that’s obligatory and did not ‘touch and go’) and then caught the Imam in Sujud, can he just continue praying behind the Imam as normal without having to do anything else?

If in the past I did a job I did not know was haram such as insurance/interest based, after leaving that job is the money haram? Just to confirm we are talking a substantial amount for example a years salary of maybe £15,000, I wish to clarify if this is haram and if anything I buy with it such as food is therefore haram?
