If she goes out and men will feel the odor she is sinful. But if she guarantees that not a single man would meet her or smell her perfume, this is permissible.

Nouman Ali Khan, Zakir Naik, among other Muslims, claim that “NURAN” in Surah 71:16 means “reflected or borrowed light”. However no Muslim in his right mind will claim that Allah (SWT) is reflected/borrowed light “Allahu nuru” (24:35) or Surah Al Nur is “Surah the reflected/borrowed light”. The Tafsirs of Surah 71:16 by ibn Abbas (RA), ibn Kathir (RA), Jalalayn (RA) all affirm that the Ayah speaks of the moon having its own, independent light. Scientifically the moon has no light (nuran), but I only believe in the Quran & Sunnah. What does this word (nur/nuran) actually mean, does the Quran affirm that the moon has its own independent light, nothing to do with the sun?

There is no contradiction between the Quran and modern science! Allah’s Noor is unlike any other Noor and you trying to simulate Allah’s attribute to His creatures is a very dangerous thing! The moon doesn’t have a light of its own and it is reflecting the light of the sun,

There are many secular and atheist authors of such a science. However, if a person has a sound and strong aqeedah and knows Islam well and has a good intention for studying it, this is permissible.

I am a high school student, and it is recquired for us to do community service. I wanted to know if it is permissible to volunteer at “Holloween” or “Christmas” events merely for the purpose of getting community service hours for school?

Are statues allowed in Islam? I asked my local Imam from my Mosque nearby my house here in Holland, and he told me that statues and images are allowed as long as you don’t worship it. And Umar RA was ruling over Egypt and he did not order to destroy the statues for over 1400 years long. My Imam told me Quran 34:13 as evidence that statues (not for worship) are allowed. Is this true ?

I live in Canada and Halloween is approaching. People here are starting to decorate their buildings with Halloween theme decorations. My school is starting to decorate and the shop i buy food from are decorating as well. I hate Halloween and i never participate in it. But am i sinful if i shop in a place that is decorated? What about when i go to school? .
