Sheikh if my earning is not halaal I know Allaah won’t accept my dua since my food is not halaal. So does it mean that I stop invoking Allaah until my food becomes halaal?I am striving to only get halal earning but until then i cannot supplicate my Rabb?

I converted to Islam in America and my family is still nonmuslim. My mother used to work for perdue, and told me that they have Christians slaughtering their meat. Is this meat permissible to eat? sheikh someone I know wants to get surgery to correct her jaws, she’s so traumatised by the deformality it has affected her life.
