Dear shiekh, usually we read qunoot every night in witr, so is it better to read qunoot in witr or its best just read witr prayer by reading fateha and one other surah? Please guide me how to pray witr At all.

I visit my brother after every 3 months(approx. 200miles). I leave after fajar and reach there before zuhr time. Now the question is that I live there 3 to 7 days and enjoys same facilities as my home, do I have to shorten my prayer?

Yes you can shorten your prayer as you are considered a traveler.

My mother says she can feel if one of her loved ones is sad or depressed , even if that person is living in another country. We have found evidence that it is sometimes true.we believed that she has this power but we forgot this can be shirk. Is my family still Muslim?

This is not permissible at all. Allah has hidden your past sins, therefore you cannot speak about them.

What is a kaffarah for leaving obligatory fast

You must first repent to Allah for leaving an obligatory fast without a valid reason, as this is a major sin. Then you have to make up the missed days. But if you had intercourse while breaking a day of Ramadan, this is a different story.

Is it necessary to say the niyat out loud when we are doing ghusl or performing other acts? What is the correct way of making niyat?

In our country, medical & car insurance is mandatory. A lot of Muslim brothers say that we take these policies because we have to obey the law; but at the same time, if a need arises, it’s best not to use any benefit from these policies. I went for a trip with my friends in India. We visited a historical temple over there. There was a long queue, and i was pushed inside. I reached the inner chamber and my friend told me to wave my hand over a lighted candle and touch my chest. This was their act of worship. All this happened in a split sec. and I didn’t even think. I just did it to show my respects. How should I perform tawbah?

You have wronged yourself greatly and this is an act of shirk! You must repent to Allah and show sincere and deep remorse. You must ask Allah for forgiveness and never do such a thing in the future. You must cut ties with such friends and only have Muslim friends.
