I bought a men’s gold watch many years ago before I came to know that wearing gold is haram for men. Of course I will never wear it now, but I understand it is haram to sell it too, is that correct? If so, what do you advise I should do with it as it cost a lot of money.

The prayer is valid but you are sinful for keeping and wearing such clothes.

This is not correct. A woman can pray in dhur in her home as soon as the time for thuhur is due.

Yes, a man can do this, but I personally advise not to go against the family on such matters as this may have serious consequences on the long run and the boy may either cut relations with his parents or divorce his innocent wife.
