It seems that this is not sufficient as iftar is not usually a full meal. Besides, rich and well off people may join and eat from it and this means that the kaffarah was not done properly.

Assalamualaikum Sheikh. I wanted to know if I could give money to an online charity who are raising money to feed ifthar to the poor. As my money will go towards food will this be acceptable as kaffarat yameen if I pay for 10 meals for 10 people? Bearing in mind I have no poor muslims where I live (London) who are in need of food
