According to Ibn Is-haq, the Prophet divorced Hafsa but then took her back. Others say that the Prophet did not divorce Hafsa

The hadeeth is authentic that states that the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam divorced her.

Umar said that Prophet Muhammad divorced Hafsah once (revocable divorce)and then took her back. (Abu Dawud vol.2:2276, p.619; al-Tabari vol.9,footnote 884 p.131)
